THE WORLD’S LARGEST BILLFISH TOURNAMENT IN CABO SAN LUCAS
3 Pounds of Gold and 4,753 Diamonds and Rubies
ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. -- One million dollars worth of gold, diamonds and rubies, which make up the world’s first and only million-dollar fishing lure, actually will be fished at the 26th Annual Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, October 24-28, 2006, Mac McBurney, co-founder of MacDaddy’s Fishing Lures, Inc.™, announced today. MacDaddy’s, headquartered in Arroyo Grande, is the premiere manufacturer of fishing lures made from solid gold and precious stones.
The Million-Dollar Lure™ was designed by Mr. McBurney and built to his specifications by Uneek® Fine Jewelry Collections. Over 12 inches in length, the Million-Dollar Lure™ is made of more than 3 pounds of 14 and 18-Karat gold and platinum, and encrusted with 100 carats of diamonds and rubies (4,753 stones in all).
MacDaddy's presence at the Bisbee's tournament is being sponsored by the Ultimate Smart Link™ Lure System, Maui Jim® Sunglasses, and Quick Rig Corporation's Double Trouble hooks.
